Not every corridor is destined to have light rail. Bus rapid transit offers many of the same benefits as train travel, but comes with a lower price tag. BRT is fast, frequent and reliable, typically running in a dedicated traffic lane. This results in environmental benefits, because fewer vehicles are emitting fumes into the air, and single-occupant car travelers can often take the bus instead. This also helps extend the life of the roadway, because people share the ride on buses.
See why BRT is a smart transportation choice.
